Hello all! I cannot believe it is February already… my how time flies! It will be summer before we know it, and we’ll all be complaining about how hot it is. I hope you all are surviving in this winter wonderland we’ve had for the past few weeks.
I’m excited to be writing to you from my new studio! I finally got the basement together, which was no easy task! Shout out to my friend Tiffany White for helping me out! We cleaned and painted, I put up a new ceiling, and installed my backdrops! I’ve done two studio shoots so far, and they both turned out great! I look forward to doing many more, and to adding more backdrops, props, and variety.
My first victim, er, client (lol) was the beautiful Allison, who was getting headshots for her exciting career endeavors! She was a pleasure to work with and I’m sure she’ll be a super big success in her career. She makes headshots look good!
My second shoot in the studio was actually done last night! I ran a photo contest, and the lovely Bev Dines won! We both have pretty crazy schedules, so she asked if she could come that day! So, we had a nice, spontaneous Valentine’s Day shoot! She is so fun to shoot! She’s always willing to try crazy things and comes up with the cutest pictures! Not to mention that she is totally gorgeous! View more of her shoot here: https://www.facebook.com/JamieCox.JReneeCreations/media_set?set=a.10100380936607000.1073741842.21903799&type=3
Even though the weather has been cold and snowy, I am always willing to shoot outdoors! The snow and bare branches offer a lovely winter backdrop, if you’re willing to brave the cold! Throw on a pretty coat and scarf and you’re ready to go. Riley and her friend Raven were willing to do just that, and we got some lovely images out at Cox Arboretum. We were all half-frozen at the end of the shoot, but if you ask me it was totally worth it! You can view her facebook album here: https://www.facebook.com/JamieCox.JReneeCreations/media_set?set=a.10100380684876470.1073741841.21903799&type=3
February’s special is still going strong! $30 for any football or Valentine’s Day-themed photoshoot in-studio, despite that excuse for a football game we called the Superbowl (sorry if you are a Broncos fan)! For Valentine’s Day, I have props like roses, red hearts, goofy heart glasses, and more. You can also feel free to bring your own.
March’s specials will be any Mardi Gras or Saint Patrick’s Day theme. I have some Mardi Gras masks that will be a blast to shoot with, and will be on the lookout for Saint Patrick’s Day props as soon as they start showing up in stores. Also, you guessed it, you have to wear green! To book your shoot, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am still booking weddings for 2014 and 2015. I’ve already booked four weddings for this year, so book your date quickly! Weddings are $100 per hour, which includes a free engagement shoot.
Lastly, I am looking for girls willing to do modern-day pin-up shoots! They will be tasteful, no nudity, and you will be able to approve of all images that will be used for my online portfolio. The best part about it is that you will get digital copies of your images absolutely free! If you are interested, contact me by email.
That is my news for the month! Try to stay warm, everyone, and I’ll see you next month!
